A CALL TO CHRIST

-A letter to the Body of Christ – 09/21/2025

Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, is upon us. It is known as a CALL, a sounding of the shofar, a call to return to God, repent of our sins, renew our hearts and minds, and prepare for His coming.

In this day we live in, our faith and courage are under fire and are being tested. Whatever you’re focused on or looking towards, whether it’s hope for a better day, a better country, a better life, or the coming of our Lord, the rapture, or the next stand against evil injustices… I would ask… Are we seeking our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, our King of Glory? Are we seeking Him?… Not just His hand, not just help, not just deliverance, not just justice, but HIM…

Are we seeking boldness, courage, strategy, provision, blessing, wholeness, more than the One it comes from? Are we seeking to be ready in preparedness in our own strength, means, and righteousness? Are we seeking the blessing and promises more than the Promise Keeper… The gifts, more than the Giver? The way ahead, more than THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, AND THE WAY?

This is not a condemnation, it is an invitation. It is a call to rise, not in our own strength, not in vain ambition, not in numbers of defiance against the enemy. But a call to Christ. A call to return to Him. A call to repentance and surrender. Because without Him, everything is in vain. It is a call to renew our hearts and minds in Jesus Christ and be transformed into His image.

Far too often, if we are honest with ourselves, we find that we are seeking our own will and desires, seeking our own way, our own plans from His hands. It is time to seek HIM, not just His hand. Not demanding our God, trying to counsel Him, to do what we want. It’s time to truly KNOW Him in a personal relationship. To know the True and Living God, one on one, to know His heart, His nature, His character, and His love and will for us, individually. It is time to surrender every area of our lives, every corner of our hearts, every plan and desire to the One who holds all of Heaven and Earth in the palms of His hands. It is time to fall on our knees before Him, bathing His feet in our tears in repentance, surrender, and worship. To unburden before Him, and give up control, submitting all our ways to Him, and truly honor Him the way He deserves to be honored. He loves us so beyond our own comprehension, and knows our every need. He sees all, and knows all. And the Almighty God desires us to come unto Him.

It’s time. Church. If we are His, we must grow up, level up, rise in Him, and act like it… Not by yelling louder, not by forcing and demanding others, not by contentious reviling which is submitting to the devil and his ways. But by following the Lord, His way!

By humbling ourselves before Him, and repenting of all our sin. By seeking the Lord, loving Him with all our heart, might, mind, and strength. By seeking His heart and mind in all things. By seeking His way and His will for each of us. For His ways are higher than ours. By spending time with Him in prayer, worship, and scripture study. By resting in Him, receiving His counsel, and refilling in His Spirit.

It’s time for each of us to take a good look in the mirror, the mirror of Jesus Christ, and ask ourselves in all honesty and humility, Do we see HIS countenance in our reflection?

Today, I hear one phrase echoing loudly in my spirit to the Body of Christ… I hear the Lord’s voice saying, “Follow Me.”

Follow Him… Not the world, not our favorite stars, not our favorite politics or politicians, not ourselves… But HIM. Is this too much to ask for our Beloved Savior, to whom we owe everything? He is worthy of it all. He is worthy of our humility, our submission, our repentance for which He paid the cost for our salvation. He is worthy of our surrendered life, remembering that He is God alone, not us. He is worthy of us submitting and committing all our ways unto Him. He is worthy of all our trust to follow Him wherever He is going. He is worthy of our obedience to walk, speak, and live by every word that has proceeded from His mouth. He is worthy of our love and acknowledgement.

He is worthy… Worthy of all honor, praise, and glory, forever! So this is simple…

This is a call to return to our first love, our Lord Jesus Christ, and to seek His face, His heart, His will… to seek HIM. And actually FOLLOW Him. And we will find Him.
