A Firm Foundation

Prophetic Word & Vision- I received from the Lord- 06/12/2025.

In the middle of the night, God awoke me with a vision. I saw a brick wall in front of me with a decorative plant hanger anchored into it. I saw a hanging flower basket being hung on the hook. It looked nice. But then suddenly, almost violently, the anchor broke loose out of the bricks, and it all fell to the ground- flower basket, hook, and bolt.

I heard the Lord say,

“Anything not anchored in Me, not built on the Solid Rock and Firm Foundation of Jesus Christ, will crumble and fall. If it is not from Me, not of Me, and not by Me… it is bound to fail. Do not put weight in things not of God.”

As I spent time dwelling on this, asking the Lord questions, this is the understanding I was given.

A brick wall may look sturdy, but if it is not built on the Lord, and by the Lord, it is in vain and pointless, worthless. Christ is our firm foundation. Anything not rooted and grounded in Him fails. And if He didn’t build it, ordain it, or if He isn’t in it… it will crumble and fall. And we shouldn’t want it.

But then I said, “Lord, a flower basket isn’t that heavy. Why a flower basket? It’s not a house or building.”

And I was given the understanding in my spirit that the flower basket represents things we “add” to our lives and spaces. Things that “look good”, “sound good”, or “feel good”, but they are not from God, or He is not in them. These things are not always good, even when they seem to be. They are things that we use to beautify, embellish, or pour into… giving weight to them, putting stock in them, and hanging things on them, but they are on an unstable wall or foundation. When we do this, it is bound to fail, bound to crumble and fall.

What are we giving weight to, putting stock in, hanging on, or pouring ourselves into that is just not founded on Jesus Christ? We need to take a closer look into this, and what we spend time on.

I understood that the Lord is calling the Body of Christ to assess with Him, what is from Him, what is of Him, what is founded on Him…  and what is not.

I felt Him calling us to sit with Him, asking Him to reveal unto us, individually, what we are giving weight to, that we need to let go of; What we are pouring into, that we need to stop pouring our hearts and lives, our oil… into.

I pray we will heed this call, and answer it by seeking the Lord, with an open and soft heart to hear what He reveals, responding in surrendered obedience, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
